HTC Educational Foundation

Effective December 31, 2008, the Aquinas and Marquette Educational Foundations officially combined to become the Holy Trinity Educational Foundation. All of the initial assets from the Aquinas and Marquette Foundations will be endowed as a scholarship fund, with all the income from the fund committed to tuition assistance for needy students. The Foundation's Board of Directors, who are listed above, is developing a strategy that will expand the giving opportunities into the Foundation. Additional endowment opportunities are planned for the areas of Teacher Benefits, Technology, Capitol Improvements, and a General Fund. All of the future income generated from these endowed funds of the Holy Trinity Foundation will be supporting the needs of Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.

The Holy Trinity Educational Foundation recently affiliated itself with the Community Foundations of North Lee County and The Great River Bend. One of the great advantages of this alliance is that future donors to the Holy Trinity Educational Foundation could be eligible to benefit from the Endow Iowa Tax Credit Program. This program offers Iowa taxpayers a 20% tax credit, in addition to normal charitable tax deductions for gifts made to an endowed fund at a qualified community foundation such as the Community Foundation of North Lee County. For questions on how this program works, contact Brian Foecke, President of the Holy Trinity Catholic Schools Educational Foundation, at bjfoecke@ft.newyorklife.com
