Dance Team

The HTC Dance Team is made up of freshman through seniors. The 2014-2015 team members are: Maria Vonderhaar, Jamie Sobczak, Rachel Ferguson, Maggie Baker, Alyssa Hemann, Wendolyn Hannum and captians, Paige Hansen and Elizabeth Barr.

HTC Dance Team performed at ISDTA Championships on December 4th and earned an Academic Achievement award for an average team gpa between 3.5 and 4.0. They also received two Division I ratings for their Pom and Jazz routines. Each routine receiving a First Place trophy. The music for both routines was put together by Paige Hansen and the orginal choreography was done by Lainne Yarkosky of Iowa City. The team modified the routines a little to fit their strengths and make it their own. There were nearly 5,000 dancers and 297 routines performed in two days in Des Moines. IPTV will broadcast all First Place routines from state competition on February 2nd at 8:00 pm and February 8th at 1:00 pm.
