Music for Kindergarten though 3rd Grade

Kindergarten

Introduction of musical notes. We will learn songs related to current happenings, such as songs for Rodeo and Mexican Fiesta during the month of September.

Grade 1

Review of basic rhythm notes and introduction of slightly more advanced notes. Students will learn songs about school and safety.

Grade 2

Working on Star-Spangled Banner for Natioanl Anthem Day. Students will review the four instrument families in the orchestra and learning the individual instrument names.

Grade 3

Learning the Star-Spangled Banner by memory. We will reviewing the names of lines and spaces on the staff. Students will also be writing letter names of songs and playing them on chromatic bells.
