Holy Trinity Elementary in West Point, Iowa is looking for a Maintenance Manager to direct and organize all activities around janitorial needs, equipment, operations, and day-to-day functioning of the machines and tools critical to our school. The Maintenance Manager will oversee, direct, and lead the work of the Elementary maintenance to ensure that the schools needs are met and all applicable laws and regulations are followed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Accomplishes maintenance objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching counseling, and instructing employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures
Prepares weekly maintenance schedules and allocates work
Supervises and train maintenance technicians on the proper use of all systems and equipment
Keeps systems and equipment running by administering tests, assuring repairs are made in a timely manner when needed, and creating a program for regular maintenance
Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
Follows all school policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook
Promote and maintain a clean and organized department
Track and communicate all building needs related to maintenance
Monitor inventory of materials and equipment, and orders inventory as needed
- Reports to the Building Principal
The ideal candidate will be organized, self motivated, and have a minimum of one year experience in maitenance operations, working knowledge of computers including experience with; microsoft office products and google suite applications. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience working in an educational facility is preferred.
Potential candidates will be required to pass a background check and complete any required training prior to start date.
